Primal Reflex Release Technique

PRRT works on the basis that the Autonomic Nervous System and the primal reflexes are to blame for most chronic pain conditions that have no apparent cause.

We are born with primitive reflexes that remain "active" throughout the first year of life. Their main purpose is to sustain and protect our life. These reflexes (Palmar, Plantar, Moro or Startle, Rooting and Withdrawal) arise from the brain stem and are associated with responses from the Autonomic Nervous System. Doctors use reflexes as parameters to diagnose neurological disorders at birth.

Much like the startle reflex of a baby, the whole body responds in unison to the activation of these reflexes, only in a baby it is a temporary reaction while in an adult it creates a loop in which a stimulus creates a response by reflex, and this reaction stimulates another response and yet another creating the never ending cycle of discomfort and pain. Such is the case of muscle tension that does not go away even after the apparent stressor is not present anymore, this state remains active because of biofeedback received from specific physiological and/or emotional states of being.

These persistent patterns are the cause of challenge for most traditional pain relief treatments, and since these conventional treatments are inefficient at interrupting the cause-effect cycle, chronic pain and movement impairment eventually settle in. However, through a new understanding of reflexive communications, it is now possible to harness the body’s own reflexes to produce precise results and create relief for a multitude of pain related symptoms.

PRRT creates balance between the brain and body resulting in pain relief, optimized human performance, stress reduction, significant relaxation and a state of wellness.
